7 MAJOR Lessons of 2021!

25 days to go before we jump into the mindset of Fresh Start and New Endeavors,

but A moment to reflect on the lessons learned is always good.

Here are a few things I've learned this year!

(1) Be slow to speak, and eager to listen.

I've always heard, "if you're the smartest person in your circle, you need to change your circle."

Well, 2021 has been a year of forming New relationships and taking the time to learn New things.

Oh the places you will go with a little patience and a lot of knowledge.

You won't always be in the most comfortable situations, but "If it doesn't challenge you to change you, You may never leave the place you're in."

(2) Pay attention to detail.

Sometimes we miss the important details because we're so impressed with the pretty, shiny outer parts of a thing, or with how good something sounds.

I've learned to pay attention to detail and to study to bring understanding and reason to what's really right for my life, and what I teach my children. Take a look at 1Timothy chapter 4.

We are responsible to study and rightly divide the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

(3) Pray to discern who and what to avoid.

There are many prayers in psalms that praise God for protecting us from evil and calamity. When we trust him he will make us aware, and show us when to refrain from engaging. TRUST is the key word there! I have learned to be more assertive this year, and bold about following God's instructions.

(4) Move on quickly from distractions.

It's the season of "Being Busy," and if you're not careful you can overexert yourself, which can then lead to attitude, miscommunication, overwhelm and even exhaustion. Sometimes the things we think we have to make happen are distractions to keep us from focusing on our goals. Recognize distractions quickly. Focus, adjust, and keep moving forward.

(5) Be bold about Living In Purpose.

I say what God says, I Do what God says, I use my gifts for God's glory and purpose, and He brings increase.

If you remember the blog from January this year, I started the year off with a scripture rather than a resolution. It was Proverbs 16:3. Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established. I've really seen the hand of God in my endeavors this year, and I'm so grateful that the Lord performs his word.

(6) God has Established me.

I had to have the courage to stop waiting on people to confirm what God told me to do.

Sometimes as leaders we have to make tough decisions. Pray and again TRUST God to lead us toward the path he's ordained for our lives... and be OK with the outcome, knowing that his plans succeed!

(7) Proper Balance is KEY!!

As you know, I'm all for the grind in career and goals but I believe strongly in BALANCE.

It's so easy to get carried away and neglect the things and people that should be priority.

For 30 days at the beginning of the year we'll work together putting things in proper perspective for a successful 2022. Join The Wait List for my free Balance Like A Boss guide.
